Cost of Producing Spirits & Liqueurs

Lymm

Check out below the costs of producing your own spirits and bear in mind the savings in excise tax (duty) and VAT charged on a litre bottle of spirits or liqueur. (Check out the government website here)

On an £15.00 1 litre bottle of 37.5% ABV spirits for example you will not only pay VAT but also pay £27.66 per litre (at 100% ABV) of duty. There is in a litre bottle of spirit at 37.5% - 375 mls of 100% ABV alcohol which will  incur duty of £10.37 plus VAT, so most of the cost of your £15.00 bottle of spirits is TAX. Something to consider!

If using the Air Still you should use only Triple Distilled Turbo Yeast, Turbo Carbon and Turbo Clear. Post distillation filter treatment with this unit can be achieved using the Air Still 1L Filter Unit and Carbon Cartridges.

Any yeast product can be used on the T500 (Triple Distilled, Classic 8, Express, Power or Heatwave). Note: Turbo Clear and Carbon Treatment are not essential with this unit.
